friday w/ ISAE (elissa, lia, & shan went too).. i was completely in awe @ how beautiful the scenery is, how extraordinary the characters are, & overall, how magnificent the musical is.. their voices were incredible & their acting, simply hypnotic.. lil simba, lil nala, zazu are the best.. my fave scenes = stampede & death of mufasa, "can u feel the love", and the appearance of mufasa in the sky.. oh wow! if i could, i'd go see it again.. i bought ryan, josh, & john mar lil red hats w/ a picture of simba..
Leslie's debut
finally the day has come! all the prep, stress, & everythin else that comes w/ plannin, gone!.. leslie looked so beautiful.. i love all 4 of her dresses.. but b4 i get into that, let me tell u bout my lil pre-debut adventure.. ppl didn't know i was spendin the weekend.. after breakfast, alyssa, w/ all her stuff, came runnin to my dorm & rushed mary anne & me.. she said that we have to leave ASAP or else the 2 will know i have the car & hold some serious grudges.. we ran for the door while mary anne was kind enough to get the car for me since i can't run w/ crutches.. down the hill, the car started to stop.. tried restarting, still didn't work.. funny thing - we were goin down the hill not because it was workin, but because the mountain was steep enough.. we were scared, but mostly disappointed.. how are we gonna get to leslie's debut?.. well, we finally reached mid-way the mountain & i decided to just stop & rev up the car for 15 min.. as the car was rev-ing up, i decided to shift to drive.. mary anne & alyssa sighed in relief.. we took it to westwood for a lil spin be4 goin to the freeway (it would be dangerous if it just stopped.. in addition, it was raining)..
on our way to anne's house!!.. we made it to her casa safe & sound.. saw a car pull out.. oh no! she's leaving, we all thought.. so, we decided to cruise around, ended up in swap meet to kill time.. went back to anne's.. she was in her house all this time.. the person in the car was her cousin.. hahhaha.. got dressed, made-up by 4:30 & headed for the debut..
we were super super early.. wait on the couch, eatin butterfinger from anne.. nancy & james arrived.. lookin good, nancy!! u too, james!!.. hehe.. then drich, angel, jeriel, shan, & jenn arrived..
argh, i was so annoyed the whole night.. can't u 2 just stop criticizin everythin.. it's gettin to the point where i want to say somethin.. "back home" nothin.. u've got to learn how to accept people for who they are.. u can't always hold hawaii as the "best" place in the whole entire world & make every other country (and the people in it) subservient..
i tried video-tapin most of it.. i saw ce-ce, michael, lawrence, chris, pio, gio, rez, ken, wong, kristine, jenn, shenna, & everyone else from my past.. it was like a reunion.. tried to dance.. knee kept hurtin.. gio & jenn stayed w/ me the whole night while everyone else danced.. aww, thnx guys.. grace face made it.. whoo hoo!!! party time.. it was so much better when she came.. alyssa & anne seemed drunk.. hahha.. a BIG thank you to mary anne for being the sweet self that she is.. i feel so bad that she has to go thru a lot w/ my temporary "disability"..
finale ~ was disappointed cuz tin said that *ahem* wasn't comin =( .. i dunno.. i guess i still have feelings.. sidenote: gio likes anne.. ok ok.. so towards the end, i spot him directly across the room from me.. i just kept starin to see if he'd notice or remember me.. hmm, guess not!.. but i wanted to say hi.. drich came, sat next to me.. drich helped me hobble over.. we talked a lil.. he said he found out that he was invited that very same day.. but, all is well.. seeing him is all i needed to complete the magic of the evening.. perfect way to end an almost-perfect night..
I'm going to stop procrastinating ... once I get around to it.
